Touch screen test: This touch screen test draws every active Pointer Event contact so you can check edges, corners, continuous drags, and simultaneous fingers.

How this touch screen test works

Drag one finger through each grid area and along all four edges. Add more fingers to test multi-touch, then lift them one at a time. Pressure appears only when the browser and hardware expose it.

How to read the results

Markers should follow contacts without repeated gaps or jumps. The maximum count shows how many simultaneous contacts the page received. A mouse can exercise the surface but cannot validate multi-touch hardware.

Common causes of failed tests

Dead zones and jumps can come from contamination, moisture, a damaged digitizer, screen protector, palm rejection, browser gestures, driver issues, grounding, or too many contacts.

Troubleshooting before you replace hardware

Clean and dry the screen, remove gloves, compare without a thick protector if safe, restart, update device software, and test in landscape and portrait. Hardware service may be needed for repeatable dead regions.

Can this test multi-touch?

Yes. It counts simultaneous touch Pointer Events received by the browser.

Why is pressure always zero?

Many touch screens and browsers do not expose a meaningful pressure value.

Does a mouse validate the touch screen?
