Power figures come from published manufacturer specifications. The comparison deliberately separates safety shutoff from comfort controls. A thermostat cycles heat to hold a temperature. This 500-watt ceramic heater measures about 5.8 x 3.4 x 6 inches and weighs 1.4 pounds. It includes a tip-over switch and is sold through the linked retailer. That makes it a compact source of quick, focused heat for a spacious, uncluttered work area.

The product page does not state a thermostat, timer, or separate low setting. It is effectively on or off, and 48 dB is audible in a quiet office. The low price cannot make an unsafe clearance work.

4. Dreo 1500W Tilt Heater: Best Thermostat Control

Dreo’s model adds a digital thermostat adjustable from 5°C to 35°C, remote control, a 60-degree manual tilt, tip-over protection, overheat protection, and an ETL-listed safety claim. It was in stock at CA$59.99. The maker states 34 dB operation, though that is not an independent measurement.

At 1,500 watts, it draws four times the VH202’s low setting. That can matter on a circuit already running a desktop PC, monitor, printer, and other equipment. This is a small-room heater that can aim at a desk, not the first thing I would squeeze under one.

5. De’Longhi TRRS0715ECA: Best Quiet Room Heat

This is not really an under-desk appliance. It is large, slow to respond, and must retain the clearances in its manual. Put it beside the workspace to warm the room gradually. Anyone trying to wedge it between desk legs has chosen the wrong product.

6. Cozy Products Toasty Toes: Best Foot-Only Heat

Toasty Toes directs 105 watts into a rigid footrest with two heat settings and three positions. It does not blow papers, make fan noise, or spend energy warming the room. Cozy Products lists ETL certification and surface temperatures near 120°F in footrest mode.

Watts describe electrical power draw, not comfort by themselves. A 105-watt heated footrest transfers heat directly. A 150-watt panel warms the body by radiation.
