SSD Price Tracker: Canadian NVMe and SATA (Updated Daily)

This SSD price tracker is updated daily from four price-publishing retailers in Canada. The tracker checks qualifying in-stock internal drive prices across mainstream NVMe Gen4 capacities, NVMe Gen5 1TB and 2TB tiers, and 1TB and 2TB 2.5-inch SATA drives without mixing capacities or interfaces.

Tracked daily since July 24, 2026. Last updated September 11, 2026. Prices are in Canadian dollars for new internal solid-state drives only.

Automated daily retailer sampling begins July 24, 2026. Blank periods mean no exact qualifying observation was found. Connecting lines are visual guides, not estimated prices.

Methodology

Once a day, the tracker checks public product searches at Best Buy Canada, Canada Computers, Newegg Canada, and Memory Express. Amazon.ca is also checked for internal comparison, but its scraped prices are not published; qualifying Amazon product links remain available as link-only destinations. Capacity must match exactly, including equivalent 1000GB or 1024GB labels for 1TB drives. NVMe and SATA never cross-match, and PCIe Gen4 and Gen5 are kept separate. External and portable drives, M.2 SATA drives, enclosures, adapters, multipacks, standalone heatsinks, used, refurbished, and open-box products are excluded. Heatsink-equipped internal drives still qualify. Capacity-aware Canadian price bands reject obvious placeholder and miscategorized listings. Amazon.ca must return at least three qualifying matches, with the same lone-extreme-low guard used by the other trackers.

Retailer search pages can fail, change, or omit a model on any given run. A listing is accepted only when the retailer also provides an affirmative in-stock or enabled add-to-cart signal. Missing retailers and configurations are never estimated, and a same-day rerun replaces the current rows instead of carrying an earlier sample forward. We store the median of the three cheapest matches for auditing, while the chart and table use the cheapest currently verified in-stock listing.

How to use this SSD prices tracker

The price-per-TB hero is the fastest way to spot raw storage value, but it does not tell you everything about a drive. Endurance, NAND type, controller, cache design, thermals, and sustained write speed still matter. Use the chart to see whether a capacity tier is moving, then compare the actual drives in the table before buying.

Canadian SSD price questions

Where is the cheapest SSD in Canada?

The retailer changes with sales and capacity. This page checks four Canadian price-publishing stores each day and reports both the lowest total price and the strongest price per TB among qualifying internal drives.

What are good prices for NVMe Gen5 SSDs in Canada?

Check the current Gen5 1TB and Gen5 2TB rows and recent history rather than a fixed number. Gen5 drives carry a premium over Gen4 for the same capacity, so compare price per TB across both generations before buying.

Are NVMe SSD prices dropping?

The chart tracks repeated daily observations for the same capacity and interface. Several lower observations across time are more useful than one short sale when judging a price trend.

Does price per TB identify the best SSD?

No. Price per TB measures storage value only. Endurance, NAND type, controller, cache, thermals, warranty, and sustained write speed can justify paying more.
